Computer Floors For Laboratories

In a laboratory, layouts change regularly. New equipment needs power, data and sometimes gases or water in a different place.

With a computer floor, these services run below the floor and come up wherever they are needed. We choose the top layer to suit the use, for example easy-to-clean vinyl or an anti-static finish.

If the layout changes, we relocate cut-outs and panels, without dust or demolition in the lab.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about computer floors for laboratories

Why a raised floor in a laboratory?

Because layouts change often. With services below the floor, you can move equipment without new pipework in walls or ceilings.

Which finish is suitable for a lab?

A closed, easy-to-clean top layer, such as vinyl or linoleum. For sensitive equipment, an anti-static finish is available.

Can pipework run below the floor?

Yes. As well as cables, pipework can run below the floor. We match the floor height to what needs to go underneath.

Can the floor adapt as the lab changes?

Yes. We relocate cut-outs and panels and extend the floor. Read more about repairs and modifications.
